There's a demo available with a nice amount of content but the full game is $1.99

If you can find it for free somewhere then play it that way, the more people who play it the better but if you want to go this route instead that's cool too (20% goes to itch). There's also a couple steam keys lying around I prolly won't use anytime soon...

The game has a high degree of difficulty, so only check it out if you like a challenge. It's really for fans of fast-paced 2D action games, shmups and bullet hells.

And if you just like looking at pretty colors, well it's got plenty of that too.
